About this Painting: 

“Red sky at night, Sailors’ delight, Red sky in the morning, Sailors’ take warning.”

I’m not much of a sailor, but I love the expression.  

I found this unique island on Lake of the Woods. I loved it's distinct shape and strange absence of trees.  A bird's haven. I chose to paint this one at sunset, with a sky that would enhance and showcase the beautiful shape of the sunlit rocks and create an undeniable mood.
