Inspired by the slow motion magic of moving reflections in a favourite area of Lake of the Woods, this painting embodies the time between and the fleeting moments of summer. This island is one of the most interesting with rocks jutting up out of the water... while around it are islands with smooth Canadian Shield and different shapes of rock. It makes me wonder how these precious unnamed gems of islands were formed.
